
Thiamoral 300 Vitamin B1 300
Each tablet contains 300 mg Thiamine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B1). Thiamine is a water - soluble vitamin and is important in carbohydrate (sugar and starch) metabolism, maintenance of normal growth, and transmission of nerve impulses. Prolonged lack of vitamin B1 will lead to " beriberi " characterized by GI manifestations , peripheral neuropathy, and cerebral deficits. Thiamine is distributed in all tissues, with highest concentration in liver, brain, kidney, and heart. When Thiamine intake exceed needs, tissue stores increase more than 2 or 3 times. If intake is insufficient, tissues become depleted after 3 weeks of thiamine absence in diet. ■ Indications : Thiamine deficiency conditions.
■ Dosage and administration : Take 1 tablet daily with or without food.
■ Side effects : Most common but less serious side effects include: skin rash , mild itching , restlessness , weakness, feeling warm, sweating and flushing. Serious allergic reactions which must be referred to a physician are : bluish lips, chest pain, breathlessness, dark or bloody stool, coughing up blood or vomit that looks like coffee grounds.
■ Contraindications : History of sensitivity to Thiamine or other ingredients in this product.
■ Precautions : If you are using any other medication or herbal product or if you are sensitive to any drug or food, consult with your doctor before using this product.
■ Pregnancy and Lactation : Studies don't prove safety of Thiamine use in pregnancy and lactation, so it is only recommended when benefit outweighs risk.
■ Storage: Store at room temperature ( 20- 25°C ). Keep from heat,moisture and light. Keep out of reach of children.
